A potentiometer is a simple device that can be used to adjust the strength of a signal or the voltage in a circuit. It is composed of three terminals: an input, a wiper, and an output. The wiper terminal is used to adjust the resistance between the input and output terminals, which in turn is used to alter the voltage in the circuit.
