The concept of voltage drop in parallel circuits can be explained using Ohm's Law. This law states that current is proportional to the voltage and inversely proportional to the resistance. Based on this, if two resistors are connected in parallel, then the voltage across each resistor will be the same, but the current will be split between them. This is because the resistors have different values of resistance and therefore, the electricity has to find an easier pathway, one with lower resistance. As it does so, the voltage across the pathway with higher resistance gets reduced, resulting in a voltage drop.

Essentially, the main reason for voltage drop in parallel circuits is due to a difference in resistance across the two pathways. To prevent this from happening, the two resistors must be of equal resistance. This can be achieved by using a variable resistor or simply varying the length of the wire in the circuit. Additionally, it is important to have the right gauge of wire in the circuit. Wires with smaller gauges will have a higher resistance, resulting in greater voltage drop.

Voltage drop in parallel circuits is an important concept to understand when dealing with electrical circuits. It is important to ensure that the two pathways have the same resistance, otherwise, it could lead to malfunctioning and damage in the system. Additionally, the right gauge of wire must be used in order to reduce the voltage drop.
